Introduction: Laryngeal plasmacytosis (LP) is a rare benign lesion of mature polyclonal plasma cells, which should be differentiated from extramedullary plasmacytoma.

Case Report: Isolated laryngeal plasmacytosis was discovered in a 59-year-old woman, free of symptoms other than chronic hoarseness.

Discussion: Histological presentation, treatment modalities and prognosis are discussed.

Conclusion: Laryngeal plasmacytosis is a rare benign lesion that must be considered in case of submucosal polyclonal plasma cell infiltrate.

Mucous membrane plasmacytosis (MMP) is rare condition characterized by diffuse plasma cell infiltration of upper aero-digestive tract mucosa. It results in epithelial hyperplasia that has a classic papillary appearance. We describe a case of MMP primarily affect laryngeal and oropharyngeal mucosa resulting in progressive airway obstruction.

Mucous membrane plasmacytosis (MMP) is an uncommon variant of mucositis represented by a polyclonal plasma cell infiltration of mucosal tissue. Various clinical presentations in the upper airway have been reported ranging from erythematous mucosa to fungating masses. Histologic features include mucosal epithelial hyperplasia or psoriasiform changes with a dense submucosal infiltrate of polytypic plasma cells.

Mikulicz's disease, an immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) occurs frequently in the head and neck region but rarely in the larynx. We report a case of IgG4-RD with pseudotumor formation in the larynx. A 50-year-old man presented at our facility for a complete physical examination and diagnostic testing of a left arytenoid tumor.

Plasmacytosis of the mucous membrane is a rare, benign, inflammatory condition of poorly understood aetiology that affects the mucous membranes. Most reported cases involve the gingival tissues, larynx, and occasionally the lips. We describe an interesting case of orofacial plasmacytosis that affected the lower lip, mandibular gingiva, and buccal mucosa.
