Introduction: Tumoral calcinosis is a rare hereditary condition characterized by the deposition of calcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite in periarticular soft tissues. First described by Giard and Duret in 1898 and later detailed by Inclan in 1943, this condition has often been confused with other forms of periarticular calcification. Tumoral calcinosis predominantly affects young males and is typically found around major joints, such as the shoulder, elbow, hip, ankle, and wrist.

Background: A giant encephalocele associated with Chiari malformation is a rare congenital anomaly from a cephalad neural tube defect. Early prenatal diagnosis and parental counseling are essential; as early surgical intervention can improve outcomes.
Methods: Between 2010 and 2023, twenty-seven newborns out of 43,815 delivered at our institution were diagnosed with encephaloceles, including seven cases of giant encephalocele associated with Chiari malformation type III.

Giant cell arteritis (GCA), also known as temporal arteritis, is the most common form of vasculitis in the elderly. While initially described as involving the temporal arteries, GCA can also affect the aorta and its major branches. The surgical procedure detailed in this case report focuses on the treatment of a large cardiac hydatid cyst located in the intraventricular septum. The surgical intervention comprised a comprehensive approach involving a median sternotomy and cardiopulmonary bypass. A localized mass below the tricuspid valve at the basal region of the interventricular septum was revealed.
