Distant metastases of differentiated thyroid cancer are unusual; lung and bones are the most frequently affected sites. Soft tissue metastases (STM) are extremely rare. We describe two cases of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer metastasizing to soft tissues. Both patients had widespread metastatic disease; clinically asymptomatic soft tissue metastases were found by ¹⁸-Fluordeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (¹⁸F FDG PET-CT), and confirmed by cytological and/or histopathological studies. These findings underscore the ability of ¹⁸F FDG PET-CT in accurately assessing the extent of the disease, as well as the utility of the method to evaluate regions of the body that are not routinely explored.

Introduction: Blunt brachial artery injuries (BAI) require reconstruction with an extensive vein graft due to the wide area of arterial damage. In the upper arm, safe options for pedicle flaps are limited, and selecting recipient vessels for free-flap surgery is challenging, complicating the treatment of soft tissue injuries associated with blunt BAI. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics and soft tissue reconstruction of blunt BAI and propose treatment strategies for treating associated soft tissue injuries.

Institut für Pathologie, Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, Robert-Koch-Str. 40, 37075, Göttingen, Deutschland.

The 5th Edition of the "WHO Classification of Tumours: Urinary and Male Genital Tumours" introduces several significant updates to the classification of testicular tumours. These updates include revised terminology for special germ cell tumour subtypes (neuroectodermal and neuroendocrine tumours) of the testis. Additionally, the signet-ring stromal tumour and myoid gonadal stromal tumour have been introduced as distinct entities within the sex-cord stromal tumours.

This retrospective cohort study examined the association between radiotherapy and prognosis in follicular lymphoma (FL) patients, with stratification by age, Ann Arbor stage, primary tumor site, surgical status, and grade. Using data from the SEER database, we employed Cox proportional hazards and competing risk models to assess the impact of radiotherapy on overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) in 7,551 FL patients. The association between radiotherapy and second primary cancer (SPC) was explored using Logistic regression model.

Tibial plateau fracture is a fracture involving the proximal articular surface of the tibia, and its injury mechanism is complex, the fracture morphology is different, and it is often accompanied by different degrees of soft tissue injury, which is difficult to diagnose and treat. In recent years, the research hotspot has focused on solving the reduction and fixation of the posterior lateral column of the tibial plateau, because it has been clinically found that the residual sagittal plane after tibial plateau fracture is insufficient reduction or loss of reduction leads to knee joint dysfunction. The posterior inclination angle of the tibial plateau is an important parameter to describe the sagittal alignment of the tibia.

Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of microsurgery in patients with Gustilo ⅢC open fractures.

Methods: A total of 64 patients with Gustilo ⅢC open fractures who were admitted to the hospital bewteen September 2018 and March 2022 were included, and divided into the observation group and the control group, with 32 cases in each one. In the observation group, there were 24 males and 8 females, aged from 29 to 42 years with an average of (36.
