The fact that coronary angiography has limitations in terms of precise estimation and progression of atherosclerosis has been partially overcome during the last years by the use of new techniques. Catheter-based invasive modalities are of a profound clinical importance in regard to accurate assessment of coronary anatomy and physiology and the choice of the appropriate treatment strategy for each patient. Also their potential in clinical investigation projects is of great interest. This current review summarizes the basic principles of these methodologies and evidently highlights not only their use in clinical practice but also their contribution in clinical outcomes.

Methods: A total of 59,777 participants from the Kailuan Study Arterial Stiffness Subcohort who were free of ASCVD at baseline were enrolled in the present study.

Objective: A proof-of-concept study aimed at designing and implementing Visual & Interactive Engagement With Electronic Records (VIEWER), a versatile toolkit for visual analytics of clinical data, and systematically evaluating its effectiveness across various clinical applications while gathering feedback for iterative improvements.
Materials And Methods: VIEWER is an open-source and extensible toolkit that employs natural language processing and interactive visualization techniques to facilitate the rapid design, development, and deployment of clinical information retrieval, analysis, and visualization at the point of care. Through an iterative and collaborative participatory design approach, VIEWER was designed and implemented in one of the United Kingdom's largest National Health Services mental health Trusts, where its clinical utility and effectiveness were assessed using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the third leading cause of death worldwide, so prevention and early diagnosis play important roles to reduce mortality and morbidity. Traditional risk-score assessments were used to find the at-risk patients in order to prevent or early treatment of CAD.
