Currently, there is a growing amount of evidence for the involvement of dopamine receptors and the functionally related trace amine-associated receptor, TAAR1, in upper intestinal function. In the present study, we analyzed their expression in the duodenum using publicly accessible transcriptomic data. We revealed the expression of , , , , and genes in different available datasets.

Purpose: Sex differences play a crucial role in understanding vulnerability to opioid addiction, yet there have been limited preclinical investigations of this effect during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The present study compared the behaviors of male and female rodents in response to fentanyl treatment and targeted molecular correlates in the striatum and medial prefrontal cortex.
Materials And Methods: Thirty adolescent C57BL/6J mice underwent a 1-week fentanyl treatment with an escalating dose.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a developmental disorder and dopaminergic dysfunction in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) may play a role. Our previous research indicated that theobromine (TB), a methylxanthine, enhances cognitive function in rodents the PFC. This study investigates TB's effects on hyperactivity and cognitive function in stroke-prone spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), an ADHD animal model.

Antipsychotic drugs are the first line of treatment in schizophrenia; although antipsychotic responses indicate a wide interindividual variety in patients with schizophrenia. This study aimed to investigate the association between four polymorphisms in DRD2, DRD4 and COMT genes and their gene-gene interactions with antipsychotic treatment response in patients with schizophrenia. A total of 101 patients with schizophrenia were recruited and stratified in treatment responder and treatment resistant groups based on the published criteria of resistant to treatment using PANSS.

Background: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is commonly associated with developmental dyslexia (DD), which are both prevalent and complicated pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders that have a significant influence on children's learning and development. Clinically, the comorbidity incidence of DD and ADHD is between 25 and 48%. Children with DD and ADHD may have more severe cognitive deficiencies, a poorer level of schooling, and a higher risk of social and emotional management disorders.
