Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) testing against chromosome 12 centromere (CEN12) is routinely included in the work-up of patients with suspected chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL). However, incidental findings can occur and be challenging. : Interphase and metaphase FISH analyses with various probes, including CEN12 probes from different vendors, and conventional cytogenetics were applied.

: Small papillary thyroid carcinomas with the largest dimension of 10 mm are slow-growing and self-limiting tumors, most of which have no potential for progression, rarely becoming clinically evident carcinomas or undergoing regressive changes. Their anaplastic transformation, primarily in the thyroid gland or into lymph node metastasis, is extremely rare. : A 66-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital for diagnostics and treatment of a large tumor on the left neck side.

Background: Patients referred to ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology clinics often present with complex neurological and visual symptoms, such as headaches, double vision, and vision loss, requiring thorough history, comprehensive examinations, and neuroimaging to identify the underlying cause. While advances in neuroimaging have improved diagnostic accuracy, they have also introduced challenges with incidental findings and unexpected abnormalities. This study aimed to determine the prevalence, spectrum, and clinical relevance of incidental findings in neuro-ophthalmology patients evaluated at an academic center.

In recent years, assessing dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) activity has become crucial for cancer patients undergoing 5-fluorouracil (5FU)-based chemotherapy due to the life-threatening toxicity associated with reduced DPD function. The methods for evaluating DPD activity have evolved, with the analysis of DPYD polymorphisms in blood samples becoming the preferred approach. As the indications for liver transplantation are increasing-particularly due to a rise in cases of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and non-resectable colorectal liver metastasis-more cancer patients with a history of liver transplantation may experience disease relapse.

Purpose Of Review: Meckel's diverticulum (MD) is a common congenital ileal diverticulum. Whilst mostly asymptomatic, 4-9% develop complications, such as small bowel obstruction, diverticulitis or bleeding. In 1933, Charles Mayo wrote that MD is 'frequently suspected, often looked for and seldom found', and it continues to pose a diagnostic challenge today.
