Study Objectives: Alerts for vital sign abnormalities seek to identify meaningful patient instability while limiting alarm fatigue. Optimal vital sign alarm settings for postoperative patients remain unknown, as is whether alerts lead to effective clinical responses reducing vital sign disturbances. We conducted a 2-phase pilot study to identify thresholds and delays and test the hypothesis that alerts from continuous monitoring reduce the duration of vital sign abnormalities.

A strategic priority of the World Health Organization's Immunization Agenda 2030 is to increase vaccination coverage and equity through reaching "zero-dose" children. Through an ecological study, we sought to quantify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the coverage of the pentavalent and the measles/rubella vaccines in Kenya, without implying causality. The monthly number of doses from January 2017 to August 2022 were obtained from the Kenya Health Information System for the pentavalent and the measles/rubella vaccines.

We assessed safety and immunogenicity of booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines based on three different platforms in a setting that mimics the current routine practice in Brazil.
Methods: In this phase 3 study from 14 February 2023 to 12 June 2023 we enrolled previously immunized adults to receive an additional booster dose of one of three vaccines.

In its current global outbreak, mpox has exhibited several novel clinical presentations that clinicians should be aware of so they can recognize it if they see it. Although the case rate has decreased, mpox could linger at a low rate or resurface in other populations and thus should remain in the differential diagnosis in patients presenting with potential infections after intimate encounters.
