Purpose: To report 3 cases of keratoconic patients who had progressive corneal topographic flattening during a 2-year follow-up period.
Methods: Case series.
Results: Three patients with bilateral keratoconus, each operated for advanced keratoconus in one of their eyes, were observed for possible progression of the disorder for a period of 2 years. During the 2-year follow-up period, topographic examination showed progressive corneal flattening in the nonoperated eye. Mean keratometry decreased in all patients, whereas topography showed significant flattening at the apex of the cone. Best-spectacle-corrected visual acuity increased in one of the patients, whereas the others had stable uncorrected and best-spectacle-corrected visual acuity during the follow-up period. All patients had positive family medical history for diabetes mellitus, but none of them was diabetic.
Conclusions: This is the first report of topography-based keratoconus regression during a 2-year follow-up period.

Background: The low incidence and poor prognosis primary trastuzumab resistance (PTR) in HER2-positive breast cancer has limited research into possible treatments. Thus, it remains unclear whether this group of patients could benefit from nontargeting HER2 antiangiogenic therapy.
Patients And Methods: We collected the medical data for HER2-positive patients with PTR who received apatinib 250 mg and trastuzumab-based chemotherapy (ATBC) between March 18, 2017, and March 31, 2022.

Background: Medicare Bayesian Improved Surname and Geocoding (MBISG), which augments an imperfect race-and-ethnicity administrative variable to estimate probabilities that people would self-identify as being in each of 6 mutually exclusive racial-and-ethnic groups, performs very well for Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AA&NHPI), Black, Hispanic, and White race-and-ethnicity, somewhat less well for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN), and much less well for Multiracial race-and-ethnicity.
Objectives: To assess whether temporal inconsistency of self-reported race-and-ethnicity might limit improvements in approaches like MBISG.
Methods: Using the Medicare Health Outcomes Survey (HOS) baseline (2013-2018) and 2-year follow-up data (2015-2020), we evaluate the consistency of self-reported race-and-ethnicity coded 2 ways: the 6 mutually exclusive MBISG categories and individual endorsements of each racial-and-ethnic group.
Combined immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) and chemoradiation (CRT) is approved in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) but optimal sequencing of CRT and ICB is unknown. NRG-GY017 (NCT03738228) was a randomized phase I trial of atezolizumab (anti-PD-L1) neoadjuvant and concurrent with CRT (Arm A) vs. concurrent with CRT (Arm B) in patients with high-risk node-positive LACC.

Background: This study investigated changes in the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), 2011 Knee Society Score (KSS), and minimal clinically important differences (MCIDs) of these scores preoperatively to 2 years after total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
Methods: This single-center retrospective study included 168 patients who underwent primary cruciate-retaining (CR) TKA using the subvastus approach. The KOOS and KSS were assessed preoperatively and during the 3-month, 6-month, 1-year, and 2-year follow ups.

Introduction: The clinical utility of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in predicting subsequent subclinical cardiovascular damages in pediatric population remains poorly understood.
Methods: Data on 1,161 Chinese children aged 10-15 years were used to assess the longitudinal associations of MASLD with subsequent subclinical cardiovascular damages.
Results: Compared with relatively healthy children, children with MASLD had abnormal vascular and cardiac structures, along with reduced cardiac diastolic function at the 2-year follow-up.
