Objective: Calcific tendinopathy, predominantly affecting rotator cuff tendons, leads to significant pain and tendon degeneration. Although US-guided percutaneous irrigation (US-PICT) is an effective treatment for this condition, prediction of patient' s response and long-term outcomes remains a challenge. This study introduces a novel radiomics-based model to forecast patient outcomes, addressing a gap in the current predictive methodologies.

Percutaneous tumor ablation has become a widely accepted and used treatment option for both soft and hard tissue malignancies. The current standard-of-care techniques for performing these minimally invasive procedures require providers to navigate a needle to their intended target using two-dimensional (2D) US or CT to obtain complete local response. These traditional image-guidance systems require operators to mentally transpose what is visualized on a 2D screen into the inherent three-dimensional (3D) context of human anatomy.

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the predictive significance of several systemic inflammatory biomarkers, namely neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and systemic immune inflammatory index (SII) in relation to the occurrence of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
Methods: A cohort of 317 patients who underwent PCNL were retrospectively recruited and evaluated. Based on the subsequent occurrence of SIRS after PCNL, patients were divided into two different groups: SIRS (n = 51) and non-SIRS (n = 266).

New-onset atrial fibrillation (NOAF) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Despite identifying numerous factors contributing to NOAF, the underlying mechanisms remain uncertain. This study introduces the triglyceride-glucose index (TyG index) as a predictive indicator and establishes a clinical predictive model.

Background: Radiation segmentectomy (RS) is an alternative potential local curative treatment for selected colorectal liver metastases (CLMs) not amenable to ablation or limited resection.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the dosimetric response of low volume CLMs to RS in heavily pretreated patients who are not candidates for resection or percutaneous ablation.
Patients And Methods: This single-center retrospective study evaluated CLMs patients treated with RS (prescribed tumor dose >190 Gy) from 2015 to 2023.
