Free oligosaccharides in human milk have many biological functions for infant health. The reducing end of most human milk oligosaccharides is lactose, and caprine milk was reported to contain oligosaccharides structurally similar to those present in human milk. The structures of oligosaccharides were traditionally determined using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy or enzyme digestion followed by various detection methods, e.

Goats are the one of the most susceptible domestic species to toxoplasmosis affecting animal health and production. The present study aimed to determine the seroprevalence of T. gondii infection in dairy goats from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as to evaluate associated risk factors, parasitic DNA detection in raw goat milk samples, and attempts to isolate the parasite from raw goat milk samples.

Here, we investigated whether RVF cycling occurred among livestock and humans in the central highlands of Kenya during inter-epidemic periods. A 2-year prospective hospital-based study among febrile patients (March 2022-February 2024) in Murang'a County of Kenya was followed by a cross-sectional human-animal survey.

Objectives: Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are nanosized vesicles with biological activities that exist in milk, playing functional roles in immunity, gut balance, and the nervous system. Currently, little is known about the impact of processing on milk sEVs.
Methods: In this study, sEVs were collected from raw goat milk (g-sEV), pasteurized goat milk (pg-sEV), and goat milk powder (-sEV) using a sucrose cushion centrifugation combined with qEV chromatography.
