We present the first case of torsion of an appendix testis in a cryptorchid testicle. The difficulties in history, physical examination and imaging posed by such a presentation are presented as well as management considerations.

Introduction And Importance: Paratubal cysts are common adnexal lesions that can lead to complications such as torsion, especially during pregnancy, presenting diagnostic challenges due to symptom overlap with acute surgical emergencies. This study details the clinical characteristics and management of paratubal cyst torsion through a case report and literature review.
Case Presentation: A 29-year-old pregnant woman at 28 weeks gestation presented with right iliac fossa pain and nausea.

Epiploic appendagitis of the vermiform appendix is a rare cause of right lower abdominal pain that can mimic acute appendicitis and result in unnecessary surgery. Despite this, the condition can be managed with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs alone. Due to the lack of characteristic physical or laboratory findings, accurate diagnosis by imaging is crucial.

Meningitis, appendicitis, and testicular torsion are among the most common conditions resulting in malpractice litigation in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. With meningitis, most litigation claims involved patients <2 years old. Notably, 25% of patients had no fever and many lacked classic signs of meningitis.

BACKGROUND Pelvic inflammatory diseases and tubo-ovarian abscesses (TOAs) are rarely seen in non-sexually active (NSA) women. While the pathogenesis of TOA remains unclear, its risk factors include ascending infection of the genital tract, gastrointestinal tract translocation, congenital genitourinary anomalies, as well as virulence of the causative agents, with preceding bacteremia and septicemia. CASE REPORT Herein, we present the case of a 25-year-old female patient who was initially diagnosed with ovarian torsion and underwent diagnostic laparoscopy.
