The authors summarize their observations of 18 children with orthostatic proteinuria. The average time of follow-up was 4 and half years. They examined body measures and renal functions of the patients and compared their blood pressure, pulse rate, electrocardiographic curve, morphological and positional conditions of kidneys in lying and standing position, as well as change of quantity and quality of proteinuria (high, middle and low molecular weight) at day time and night both in proteinuric children with and without ptosis renis and in controls. The patients were taller than the average, but their body mass was small compared to their weight. Ptosis renis was found in 11 patients. Renal functions remained good. The authors detected changes only in quantity and quality of proteinuria during of long term follow-up, the other parameters remained normal or the change was like that of the controls. They propose, that these two parameters are of prognostic importance.

Background: This study intended to find out whether the parameters of heart rate variability (HRV) can predict the treatment efficacy of orthostatic training among pediatric cases of vasovagal syncope (VVS).
Methods: Patients with VVS who underwent orthostatic training were retrospectively enrolled. Lasso and logistic regression were used to sift through variables and build the model, which is visualized using a nomogram.

Introduction: Given the challenges in diagnosing children with long COVID, we sought to explore diagnostic practices and preferences among clinicians.
Methods: A ten-question survey assessed pediatric providers' clinical decision making for identifying and evaluating long COVID in children. Of the 120 survey respondents, 84 (70%) were physicians, 31 (26%) nurse practitioners, and 5 (4%) physician assistants.

Introduction SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19) and the COVID-19 vaccine have been linked to the development of persistent symptoms, including orthostatic intolerance (OI) and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), in both children and adults. POTS is characterized by excessive tachycardia and other symptoms upon standing, significantly impacting quality of life. This study aims to evaluate the clinical and laboratory findings in pediatric patients with post-COVID-19 or post-COVID-19 vaccine OI and POTS.

Background: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder, characterized by impairments in social interaction and communication with restricted and repetitive behavior. Postural and motor disturbances occur more often in ASD, in comparison to typically developing subjects, affecting the quality of life. Linear and non-linear indexes derived from the trajectory of the center of pressure (COP) while subjects stand on force platforms are commonly used to assess postural stability.

Background: Psychosocial stress can induce various physical symptoms, including fever, which is a commonly seen symptom in pediatric practice. In cases of unexplained fever, psychogenic fever should be considered as a potential cause. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders may be more vulnerable to stress and therefore more prone to developing somatic symptoms than their peers.
