The identification of patients at high risk of relapse is a critical goal of modern translational research in oncohematology. Minimal residual disease (MRD) detection by polymerase chain reaction-based methods is routinely employed in the management of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Current knowledge indicates that it is also a useful prognostic tool in several mature lymphoproliferative disorders and particularly in follicular lymphoma (FL). Based on this evidence clinical trials employing MRD-based risk stratification are currently ongoing in FL. In this review the 'state of the art' of MRD evaluation in FL is discussed. A short description of technical issues and recent methodological advances is provided. Then, the bulk of the review focuses on critical take-home messages for clinicians working in the field. Finally, we discuss future perspectives of MRD detection and more generally outcome prediction in FL.

Propose: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant treatment of darolutamide, a next-generation androgen receptor inhibitor, plus androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for patients with locally advanced prostate cancer (LAPC).

Methods: This single-arm, multicenter, open-label phase II trial (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT05249712, 2022-01-01), recruited 30 localized high-risk/very high-risk prostate cancer (HRPCa/VHRPCa) patients from three centers in China between 2021 and 2023.

Aging is a complex biological process influenced by various factors, including genetic and environmental influences. In this study, we present BayesAge 2.0, an upgraded version of our maximum likelihood algorithm designed for predicting transcriptomic age (tAge) from RNA-seq data.

Background: Due to the lack of effective treatment options, the prognosis of patients with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (R/R AML) remains poor. Although chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T-cell therapy has shown promising effects in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and lymphoma, its application in R/R AML is limited by "off-target" effects, which lead to severe bone marrow suppression and limit its clinical application. CAR-natural killer (NK) cells not only exhibit antitumor effects but also demonstrate increased safety and universality.

To further elucidate the variations of secondary oxidation spontaneous combustion risk of lignite under different air flows and immersion time. Secondary oxidation experiments of short-term water-immersed coal and long-term water-immersed coal were conducted under four air flows. The results show that, the presence of a temperature inflection point during primary oxidation process, when coal temperature exceeds it, both the oxygen consumption rate and heat release intensity of long-term water-immersed coal are lower, furthermore, decrease in air flow leads to reduction in the temperature inflection point.

Tunable mechanical properties of PDMS-TMPTMA microcapsules for controlled release in coatings.

Within coating formulations, microcapsules serve as vehicles for delivering compounds like catalysts and self-healing agents. Designing microcapsules with precise mechanical characteristics is crucial to ensure their contents' timely release and minimize residual shell fragments, thereby avoiding adverse impacts on the coating quality. With these constraints in mind, we explored the use of 1 cSt PDMS oil as a diluent (porogen) in trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA)-based to fabricate microcapsules with customized mechanical properties and submicrometer debris size after shell breakup that can encapsulate a wide range of compounds.
