There were analyzed the results of examination and treatment of 12 patients, suffering critical ischemia of the lower extremities tissues in the occlusion-stenotic affection of the femoro-popliteo-tibial segment vessels, to whom miniinvasive endovascular interventions were done. Complex clinico-instrumental examination of the patients (ultrasound duplex scanning, roentgenocontrast angiography, multispiral CT with intravenous contrasting) have permitted to substantiate the indications for conduction of endovascular interventions for critical ischemia of the lower extremities. The zone of reconstruction passability was confirmed after performance of endovascular transcutaneous balloon angioplasty in the follow-up terms up to 1 year in 9 (75%) patients, the lower extremities were saved in 10 (83.3%).

This is a case of a young, 20-year-old, male Navy recruit who was admitted to our healthcare facility with intermittent atypical chest pain and limiting exertional symptoms and was diagnosed with myocardial bridging (MB) as the most likely etiology of his chest after the complete cardiac workup, leading to his career limitations due to potential risks. Our patient presented with atypical chest pain and limiting exertional symptoms. Chest pain was non-radiating.

Background: Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, which is associated with high morbidity and mortality, is a main cause of unexpected myocardial injury after acute myocardial infarction. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Circular RNAs (circRNAs), which are formed from protein-coding genes, can sequester microRNAs or proteins, modulate transcription and interfere with splicing.

Background: Contrary to the common belief, the most commonly used laboratory C57BL/6J mouse inbred strain presents a distinctive genetic and phenotypic variability, and for several traits, the genotype-phenotype link remains still unknown. Recently, we characterized the most important stroke survival factor such as brain collateral plasticity in 2 brain ischemia C57BL/6J mouse models (bilateral common carotid artery stenosis and middle cerebral artery occlusion) and observed a Mendelian-like fashion of inheritance of the posterior communicating artery (PcomA) patency. Interestingly, a copy number variant (CNV) spanning locus was reported to segregate in an analogous Mendelian-like pattern in the C57BL/6J colonies of the Jackson Laboratory.

Background: Interventricular septal dissection is a critical disease characterized by the separation of the intraventricular septum into two layers, forming an intermediate layer with a cystic cavity that communicates with the root of the aorta or ventricle. It has low morbidity and high mortality rates.
Case Presentation: Case 1: A 58-year-old male with a history of hypertension and smoking presented to a local hospital due to chest tightness and pain for 4 days.

Background: Stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) has been linked to prognosis of cerebrovascular diseases. Nevertheless, the association between SHR and severe disturbance of consciousness (DC) and mortality among patients with cerebral infarction remains explored. This study seeks to assess the predictive potential of SHR for severe DC and mortality among patients with cerebral infarction.
