Despite many therapeutic options, some glaucomas remain refractory to treatment and intraocular pressure remains elevated or there is a progression in visual field. When conventional therapies and operations fail or the theoretical chances of success are low (for example, neovascular glaucoma), implantation of an artificial drainage device system is used as a last resort. Artificial drainage systems create a link between inside and outside the eye and lower intraocular pressure. Characteristics of Ahmed valve, Surgical technique.

It is known that particles released from the prosthesis due to wear after joint replacement surgery affect the lymphatic system. This study aimed to investigate the effect of the manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) technique on pain, edema, and blood lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels in the early period of lymphatic transport affected by total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Twenty-four patients who underwent TKA were randomly allocated (control: 12; MLD: 12).

Background: The lymphatic system is the major route of cancer metastasis, and sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) are the first station for the spread of cancer cells. Accurate identification of SLNs by tracers during surgery is crucial for SLN biopsy and lymphadenectomy. However, conventional monomodal tracers such as blue dyes and carbon nanoparticles often induce a misjudgment of SLNs and thus are still unsatisfying for clinical applications.

Due to accelerating climate change and the need for new development to accommodate population growth, adaptation of urban drainage systems has become a pressing issue in cities. Questions arise whether decentralised urban drainage systems are a better alternative to centralised systems, and whether Nature Based Solutions' (NBS) multifunctionality also brings economic benefits. This research aims to develop spatio-economic scenarios to support cities in increasing their resilience to urban flooding with NBS.

Aims: The interstitial space is the major compartment in which the excess fluid is located, forming peripheral congestion in acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF). The lymphatic system is responsible for the constant drainage of the compartment. In ADHF, the inefficiency of this system causes extravascular fluid accumulation, underscoring the crucial role of lymphatic system failure in ADHF's pathophysiology.

Acid mine drainage (AMD) containing arsenic produced during coal mining is a global environmental problem. However, the coupled driving process of the key element Fe and the associated element As in the AMD environment has received little attention. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the A.
