Introduction: Dubin-Johnson syndrome (DJS) is unusual during common medical work. Moreover, cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis involvement has not been reported.

Presentation Of Case: We describe a case of DJS complicated by cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis. A 49-year-old man accepted by outpatient complained with intermittent cramping pain in right upper abdomen. It is diagnosed as cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis. We found the dark greenish liver when the operation was performed. Liver biopsy confirms the DJS.

Discussion: It is the firstly reported case DJS related to the cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis.

Conclusion: Cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis may develop in DJS. DJS is possible a reason for cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis, not just likely a chance occurrence.

This study aims to compare the efficacy of laparoscopic cholecystectomy combined with laparoscopic transcystic common bile duct exploration (LTCBDE), laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in the treatment of gallbladder stones with common bile duct stones. We conducted a retrospective comparative analysis based on surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative recovery metrics, total hospitalization costs, gastrointestinal quality of life index (GIQLI) before and after surgery, and the incidence of postoperative complications. No significant differences were found among the three groups in terms of the surgical success rate, first stone clearance rate, intraoperative blood loss, incidence of postoperative complications, and stone recurrence rate (p > 0.

Background: Endoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholecystolithotomy (EGPC) has become an alternative option for treating cholecystolithiasis. However, developing a new method of EGPC in which the gallbladder wall is not damaged remains a challenge. This study introduced a new EGPC method called endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), which preserves the integrity of the gallbladder wall in the treatment of cholecystolithiasis complicated with choledocholithiasis.

The traditional method of performing open common bile duct exploration (OCBDE) was replaced by a less invasive procedure known as laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) in elective surgery. But at present, the application of this technique is considered novel and controversial to treat acute cholangitis (AC). The aim of our systematic review was to investigate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic surgery in patients with AC.
