Purpose Of Review: The aim of this review is to update readers on the growing impact of a molecular approach (CRD) to the diagnosis and treatment of children with respiratory allergies
Recent Findings: A large panel of highly purified natural or recombinant species-specific and cross-reacting allergenic molecules is now available for clinical purposes. Species-specific molecules allow identifying specific sensitization toward a given allergenic source. Cross-reacting molecules allow interpreting polysensitization patterns that cannot be detailed using routine skin prick tests or specific IgE tests based on allergenic extracts. These molecular tools are transforming and improving the interpretation of clinical and laboratory tests used to define patients' IgE-sensitization profile.
Summary: The accurate dissection of the IgE repertoire offers new possibilities in the diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of pediatric allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and asthma.

Importance: Spontaneous reports have indicated that montelukast increases the risk of neuropsychiatric adverse events, and the US Food and Drug Administration added a boxed warning about these risks in 2020. However, the potential mechanism is not well understood, and the observational evidence is scarce, particularly in children.
Objective: To assess the potential association between the use of montelukast and the risk of neuropsychiatric adverse events in children and adolescents.

Introduction: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) originates from undifferentiated mesenchymal cells that give rise to striated muscles. The symptoms of para-meningeal RMS often resemble those of allergic rhinosinusitis, including nasal congestion, mucus discharge, headache, and occasional nosebleeds. We report a child with atypical clinical presentation of ocular hypertropia secondary to para-meningeal RMS.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the potential relation between the retarded growth of skeletal muscle (SM) and dysbiosis of gut microbiota (GM) in children with asthma, and to explore the potential action mechanisms of traditional pediatric massage (TPM) from the perspective of regulating GM and short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) production by using an adolescent rat model of asthma.
Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats aged 3weeks were divided randomly into the 5 groups (n=6~7) of control, ovalbumin (OVA), OVA + TPM, OVA + methylprednisolone sodium succinate (MP) and OVA + SCFAs. Pulmonary function (PF) was detected by whole body plethysmograph, including enhanced pause and minute ventilation.

Background: Cefazolin is the most common first-line antibiotic to prevent surgical-site infections. Patients with penicillin allergy labels often receive alternative antibiotics, which is associated with increased rates of surgical-site infections, multi-drug-resistant infections, and cost.
Objective: We sought to determine whether a hospital-wide guideline recommending first-line surgical prophylaxis in patients with penicillin allergy labels can increase the use of cefazolin without compromising safety.

Background: Epinephrine is the first-line treatment for anaphylaxis and is administered via intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection. AQST-109, a sublingual film containing a prodrug of epinephrine, is in development as an alternative delivery method for the treatment of severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis.
Objective: To compare the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of epinephrine following administration of AQST-109 to epinephrine delivered by manual IM injection and epinephrine autoinjectors (EAIs).
