Postburn sequelae or excisional defect reconstruction after significant burn injury or resection of giant hairy nevus continues to be a significant challenge for the reconstructive surgeon. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of available tissue for the repair of extensive defects is often limited. The techniques of tissue expansion have been used for many years to expand normal skin adjacent to the defect for the reconstruction of even wider defects in various parts of the body with its numerous advantages.Nine patients in whom reoverexpanded neighboring skin flaps were used to improve the capacity of wider soft-tissue defect coverage for postburn scar revision or excisional defect of giant hairy nevus in the various parts of the body is reported here.

Unlabelled: The high prevalence of chronic wounds, 2.5-3% of the US population, causes a large social and financial burden. Physiological wound healing is a multi-step process that involves different cell types and growth factors.

Mohs surgery is performed by surgeons trained in detecting specific cutaneous malignancies, including basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP). Mohs-trained surgeons are typically not holistic pathologists and may, when working in isolation, fail to identify lesions that are not of cutaneous origin. The presence of a second lesion adjacent to the primary lesion is always a possibility.

Splenogonadal fusion is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by an unusual linkage between ectopic splenic tissue and the gonad, with a higher prevalence observed in the males. While the majority of the splenogonadal fusion cases are associated with cryptorchidism, the patients may have other congenital malformations such as inguinal hernias. Despite being benign and having a rare occurrence, the preoperative diagnosis of splenogonadal fusion is a challenging one.

The bacterial infection and oxidative wound microenvironment delay skin repair and necessitate intelligent wound dressings to enable scarless wound healing. The immunoglobulin of yolk (IgY) exhibits immunotherapeutic potential for the potential treatment of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens, while cerium oxide nanoparticles (CeO NPs) could scavenge superoxide dismutase (SOD) and inflammation. The overarching objective of this study was to incorporate IgY and CeO NPs into poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide)/gelatin (PLGA/Gel)-based dressings (P/G@IYCe) for infected skin repair.

Introduction: Giant cell tumour or osteoclastoma is benign, locally aggressive tumor with bone destruction and with malignant potential. It accounts for 5% of all primary bone tumor and occurs in skeletally mature individuals in the age group of 30 to 45 with peak incidence in the 3rd decade. GCT is more common in females.
