The stability of pesticide SC suspension was studied by Turbiscan Lab Analyzer. The Turbiscan Lab can be used to analyze the concentrated colloids, dispersant samples, and the instable mechanism of the suspension system in the initial stage. The Turbiscan Lab can also determine the thickness changes of sedimentation with the time, the settling rate of particles with time, and the particle size changes with time. In the present work, the different dispersant GY-D10, NNO, Morwet D-425, TERSPERSE 2425 were used to prepare the imidacloprid 350 g x L(-1) suspension concentrate in the same preparation condition. By measuring the light intensity of backscattering light of the suspension of imidacloprid 350 g x L(-1) SC with time, the dynamic sedimentation processes and the particle size changes which reflect the stability of SC suspension were studied. The results showed that when the contents of GY-D10 dispersant were 4 wt% in the SC, the stability of SC suspension system was relatively good.

The dispersion stability of carbonyl iron particle (CIP)-based magnetorheological fluid (MRF) is improved by CIP, which particle is etched with hydrochloric acid (HCl) to form porous structure with many hydroxyl groups and subsequently coated with silane coupling agents that have varying chain lengths. The microstructures, coating effect and magnetism of the CIPs were examined using the Scanning Electron Microscopy, Automatic Surface and Porosity Analyzer (BET), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric Analysis and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer. Furthermore, the rheological properties and dispersion stability of the MRFs were assessed using a Rotating Rheometer and Turbiscan-lab.

Natural terpenoid carriers, such as oleanolic acid (OA), can enhance the water solubility and stability of hydrophobic compounds such as curcumin (Cur). However, improving the colloidal stability of nanoparticle emulsions and resolving the redispersion problem of freeze-dried nanoparticle powders remain significant challenges. In this study, we fabricated coassembled oleanolic acid-curcumin nanoparticles (OA/Cur NPs) and applied a polysaccharide surface coating method to improve their colloidal stability and water solubility.

As many natural origin antioxidants, resveratrol is characterized by non-suitable physicochemical properties for its topical application. To allow its benefits to manifest on human skin, resveratrol has been entrapped within liquid crystal nanocarriers (LCNs) made up of glyceryl monooleate, a penetration enhancer, and DSPE-PEG 750. The nanosystems have been more deeply characterized by using dynamic light scattering and Turbiscan Lab Expert optical analyzer, and they have been tested in vitro on NCTC 2544.

The catastrophic phase inversion process of model emulsions (water/Span 80-Tween 80/heptane) from oil-in-water to water-in-oil emulsion was investigated. During this process, the phase inversion of the emulsion was monitored through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). In emulsions without NaCl, oil-in-water gel emulsions are formed prior to phase inversion.
