Background: Mountain biking (MTB) is a quickly growing sport, with many athletes sustaining high-impact injuries. Current literature has not analyzed the most recent MTB-related national emergency department (ED) injury data.
Hypothesis: It was hypothesized that (1) the total number of injuries presenting to US EDs would significantly increase over the study period, (2) male patients would experience higher rates of shoulder injuries and airborne injury mechanisms than female patients, and (3) youths would present more frequently with injuries of the head and face than adults.

Objective: To study the impact of kinetic glomerular filtration rate (kGFR) on clinical decision making and its implications on drug dosing compared to that of estimated GFR (eGFR) using chronic kidney disease epidemiology collaboration (CKD-EPI) equation in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) admitted in a tertiary level intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods: Cross-sectional, prospective, observational study design. All patients admitted to Medical ICU, Fortis Hospital, Bangalore with AKI defined as per AKI network (AKIN) criteria.

Escherichia coli has become a common causative agent of infections in animals, inflicting serious economic losses on livestock production and posing a threat to public health. Escherichia coli infection is common and tends to be complex in Xinjiang, a major region of cattle and sheep breeding in China. This study aims to explore the current status and molecular characteristics of Escherichia coli infection in cattle and sheep in Xinjiang, as part of the disease prevention and control strategy.
