Early neonatal seizures have myriad causes and variable prognoses. While acute symptomatic seizures are the most common events, a significant number of cases have a genetic background for such seizures, and a timely diagnosis can help in appropriate management and prognostication. We present a case of a neonate referred to our center with multi-focal clonic seizure starting from the first day of life.

Histone H3 phosphorylation at threonine 3 (H3T3) during mitosis occurs at the inner centromeres and is required for proper biorientation of chromosomes on the mitotic spindle. While H3T3 is also phosphorylated during meiosis, a possible role for this modification has not been tested.

Tissue-resident memory CD8 T (Trm) cells control infections and cancer and are defined by their lack of recirculation. Because migration is difficult to assess, residence is usually inferred by putative residence-defining phenotypic and gene signature proxies. We assessed the validity and universality of residence proxies by integrating mouse parabiosis, multi-organ sampling, intravascular staining, acute and chronic infection models, dirty mice, and single-cell multi-omics.

Lung cancer is among the most common instances of cancer subtypes and is associated with high mortality rates. Due to the availability of fewer therapies and delayed clinical investigations, the number of cancer incidences is rising dramatically. This is possibly an effect of immune modulations and chemotherapeutic drugs that raises cancer resistance.

Background: The introduction of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors represented a paradigm shift in the treatment of ovarian cancer. Genomic data from patients with high-grade ovarian cancer in six phase II/III trials involving the PARP inhibitor olaparib were analyzed to better understand patterns and potential causes of genomic instability.
Patients And Methods: Homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) was assessed in 2147 tumor samples from SOLO1, PAOLA-1, Study 19, SOLO2, OPINION, and LIGHT using next-generation sequencing technology.
