Background: In patients with structurally normal hearts, algorithms using surface electrocardiographic P-wave morphology are helpful to predict focal atrial tachycardia (FAT) location. However, these algorithms have not been formally assessed in patients with adult congenital heart disease (ACHD).
Objectives: This study sought to assess the efficacy of FAT-location prediction algorithms in an adult population of patients with ACHD.

Background: Genomic data have unveiled a fascinating aspect of the evolutionary past, showing that the mingling of different species through hybridization has left its mark on the histories of numerous life forms. However, the relationship between hybridization events and the origins of cyprinid fishes remains unclear.
Results: In this study, we generated de novo assembled genomes of 8 cyprinid fishes and conducted phylogenetic analyses on 24 species.

Current guidelines to prevent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection are based on risk assessments that include age, sex, and virological and biochemical parameters. The study aim was to investigate the impact of predictive markers on long-term outcomes. Trigeminal neuralgia is the most common cause of facial pain in individuals over 50 years old and can have a profoundly negative impact on quality of life. Epidemiological studies have measured the annual incidence of trigeminal neuralgia at around 4-5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per year. In Iceland, this would amount to about 16-20 new cases annually.
