Analysis of the values of hemodynamics and the results of open biopsy of the lung in 60 patients with ventricular septal defect and high-level pulmonary hypertension, as well as the results of surgical treatment of 30 of them showed the expediency of diagnostic open biopsy of the lung in patients of the IIIb hemodynamic group, except for patients whose hemodynamic values range as follows: the ratio of general pulmonary to general peripheral resistance in more than 0.7; the ratio of pulmonary to systemic circulation is less than 1.5; the arteriovenous shunt is less than 25%, and the mean pulmonary artery pressure is above 75 mm Hg, and these hemodynamic values correspond with the morphological changes characteristic of stage IV-V after Heat-Edwards.

Background: ATOR-1017 (evunzekibart) is a human agonistic immunoglobulin G4 antibody targeting the costimulatory receptor 4-1BB (CD137). ATOR-1017 activates T cells and natural killer cells in the tumor environment, leading to immune-mediated tumor cell death.
Methods: In this first-in-human, multicenter, phase I study, ATOR-1017 was administered intravenously every 21 days as a monotherapy to patients with advanced, unresectable solid tumors having received multiple standard-of-care treatments.

Short (0-30 days)- and intermediate (31-90 days)-term temporal analysis of complication onset is not well described, yet needed, to better counsel patients considering TPE.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of consecutive patients with primary or recurrent clinical T4b pelvic CRC undergoing open TPE between 2014 and 2023 was conducted.
