Objective: The prevalence and characteristics of drug-related problems (DRPs) in the cardiovascular surgery unit have not been adequately explored, leaving a gap in our understanding of this critical issue. This study aimed to address this gap by determining the prevalence, characteristics of DRPs and identifying factors associated with their occurrence.
Methods: During a non-consecutive 48-month study period, a retrospective analysis was conducted to investigate DRPs and the interventions carried out by pharmacists for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the ethical challenges faced by healthcare professionals (HCPs) in managing children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) in Lebanon. The primary research question addressed how HCPs navigate ethical dilemmas related to patient autonomy, surrogate decision-making and communication in the context of severe cognitive impairments.
Design: Qualitative, cross-sectional study using semi-structured interviews.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to survey current physicians in Kentucky to evaluate their management of patients with substance use disorder (SUD), with a focus on the identification of their referral methods for linkage to SUD treatment and recovery support services.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed through a developed survey that was administered by e-mail to all 12,152 in-state physicians licensed in Kentucky; 524 responded. Addiction specialists, emergency physicians, and psychiatrists were categorized separately; family medicine and internal medicine (FM/IM) physicians were combined into one category; all of the other specialties were grouped into an "Other" category.

Background: Neuropsychiatric Symptoms (NPS) including aggression, psychosis, anxiety, apathy and depression are highly prevalent in Alzheimer's Disease patients and are associated with accelerated decline and a detrimental impact on suffering and quality of life of both patients and caregivers. There are no effective pharmaceutical interventions targeting these symptoms, making a better understanding of the etiologic mechanisms underlying NPS in AD critical to develop improved treatments.
Method: To facilitate identification of genetic loci and mechanistic pathways underlying NPS in AD, we have initiated an effort (NIH: U01AG079850) to collate and harmonize all available NPS data in over 70 cohorts (>80,000 samples) of diverse ancestries with whole-genome sequencing data from the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP), and analyze these data to identify genetic loci and mechanistic pathways associated with NPS in AD.
