Invasive aspergillosis is an extremely rare condition in healthy and immunocompetent individuals, and very few cases have been reported in previously healthy, pregnant, or postpartum women. We describe a case of invasive aspergillosis in a puerperal patient and present literature review results. We present a case of fulminant invasive pulmonary aspergillosis with cerebral, cardiac, and gastric involvement in a young woman, occurring a few days after an elective cesarean section.

Introduction: Pregnancy and postpartum are phases in the women's life where the thrombotic risk is increased both on the venous and on the arterial side.
Methods: We are presenting the case of a young woman at the third pregnancy, carried out without complications until delivery, whose postpartum was characterized by the occurrence of headache. Neuroimaging studies were performed, firstly brain computed tomography (CT) with CT Angiography and after brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with MR Angiography.

However, no study has examined the long-term effects of prenatal and postnatal small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplements (SQ-LNS) and home environment on ANS regulation. During the periparturient period, dairy cows experience negative energy balance due to reduced feed intake, leading to adipose tissue breakdown, liver damage, and fat accumulation. This study examined the gut-liver-brain axis to explore the link between fatty liver disease, changes in hypothalamic appetite-related neurons, and microbiome shifts in dairy cows. Thirty cows were monitored, with daily DMI recordings and blood sampling.

Oxytocin (OT) neurons in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVH) play an important role in various physiological and behavioral processes, including the initiation of milk ejection and the regulation of maternal behaviors. However, their activity patterns at the single-cell level remain poorly understood. Using microendoscopic Ca imaging in freely moving mouse dams, we demonstrate highly correlated pulsatile activity among individual OT neurons during lactation.
