Fibromyalgia (FM) is a common chronic pain with no established treatment. Acupuncture is an expected treatment for FM though a diagnosis of FM tends to be delayed, and the advantage is still unclear in early-phase intervention with acupuncture treatment for FM. Background Kasai procedure (KPE) is a palliative intervention in infants with biliary atresia (BA) aiming to restore biliary drainage. While the measure of success in BA is the post-Kasai native liver survival, BA remains the most frequent indication for liver transplantation in children. While a considerable amount of children fail to clear their jaundice following KPE, resulting in early liver failure and transplantation, some children become jaundice-free after "successful" KPE.

Purpose: Over the last 40 years, there has been an unusual trend where, even though there are more varied treatments, survival rates have not improved much. Our study used survival analysis and machine learning (ML) to investigate this odd situation and to improve prediction methods for treating non-metastatic LSCC.
Methods: The surveillance, epidemiology and end results (SEER) database provided the data used for this study's analysis.

Cutaneous metastases from colorectal cancer are an uncommon but critical finding, typically signaling advanced disease with poor prognosis. This case report describes a 64-year-old woman with a limited past medical history who presented to our outpatient dermatology practice with rapidly spreading erythematous, indurated, and nearly verruciform plaques in the groin, vaginal, and perineal region. Biopsy confirmed metastatic adenocarcinoma of colonic origin, and diagnostic imaging, and colonoscopy revealed stage IV colorectal cancer involving extensive cutaneous, lymphatic, and visceral metastases.
