With the progress of cataract surgery skills, continuous capsulorhexis as an ideal technology is widely applied to phacoemulsification. However capsular contraction syndrome is a phenomenon after the continuous capsulorhexis technology was applied. It can affect visual quality, the observation of fundus, cause lens dislocation, etc. At present, the etiology, especially for intraocular lens on the influence of capsular contraction is not entirely clear. There is also a lack of effective prevention methods clinically. Its pathology, influencing factors, prevention and treatment were reviewed in this paper.
