This article reviews why nursing operations automation is important, reviews the impact of computer technology on nursing from a historical perspective, and considers the future of nursing operations automation and health care technology innovations in 2025 and beyond. The increasing automation in health care organizations will benefit patient care, staffing and scheduling systems and central staffing offices, census control, and measurement of patient acuity.

The surgical management of cancer patients wishing fertility preservation is multidisciplinary, involving surgeon, anesthetist, hematologist, and nursing and laboratory staff. Many oncology patients have a multitude of medical or surgical conditions that require careful planning of all therapy including surgical removal of reproductive material, either oocytes or ovarian tissue. The significant risks related to either transvaginal or abdominal surgery should be discussed and documented and the final decision to proceed must be balanced against the risks, including death.

Objective: To develop and validate a nomogram model for predicting central venous catheter-related infections (CRI) in patients with maintenance hemodialysis (MHD).
Methods: MHD patients with central venous catheters (CVCs) visiting the outpatient hemodialysis (HD) center of Xuzhou Medical University Affiliated Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected through a HD monitoring system. Patient data were collected, and the patients were divided into training and validation sets in a 7:3 ratio.
