Assessment and management of chronic orofacial pain associated with a disease in children: a multidisciplinary approach.

Acta Paediatr

Service d'Odotontologie, Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, Hôpital Bretonneau, Paris, France.

Published: August 2013

Unlabelled: To summarize the diversity of assessment and management for chronic orofacial pain associated with a disease (COFPAD) in children. We performed a review of the literature up to May 2012. Hetero-evaluation and self-assessment are used according to age of children. Strict management of the cause is not sufficient for children with COFPAD without a multidisciplinary approach combining pharmacotherapy, psychology and physiotherapy.

Conclusion: The multidisciplinary approach is the key of management for children with COFPAD.

The relationship between nanoliposomal irinotecan/fluorouracil/leucovorin (NFF) treatment outcomes and neutropenia in patients with pancreatic cancer has not been thoroughly examined. Thus, we conducted a retrospective analysis of data from patients with pancreatic cancer who were treated with NFF to investigate this relationship. Neutropenia was assessed according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events across three cutoffs: A (grade 0 versus grade 1-4), B (grades 0-1 versus 2-4), and C (grades 0-2 versus 3-4).

Artificial intelligence (AI) has shown promise in revolutionizing medical triage, particularly in the context of the rising prevalence of kidney-related conditions with the aging global population. This study evaluates the utility of ChatGPT, a large language model, in triaging nephrology cases through simulated real-world scenarios. Two nephrologists created 100 patient cases that encompassed various aspects of nephrology.
