A new molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP), selective for major metabolites of quinoxaline-1,4-dioxides, was prepared through bulk polymerisation using quinoxaline-2-carboxylic acid (QCA) as template, diethylaminoethylmethacrylate as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as cross-linker in tetrahydrofuran. The synthesised MIP was characterised by Fourier transform infrared and adsorption experiments. MIP exhibited high affinity, fast kinetics for QCA and good selectivity for QCA and methyl-3-quinoxaline-2-carboxylic acid (MQCA). MIP obtained was used as a selective sorbent for molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction (MISPE) coupled with HPLC to detect QCA and MQCA. Under the optimal conditions, the limits of detection (S/N=3) of porcine, chicken and fish muscles were 0.1, 0.3, 0.1 μg/kg for QCA and 0.2, 0.3, 0.1 μg/kg for MQCA, respectively and good recoveries were obtained in the range from 60.0 to 119.4%. These results indicated the MISPE-HPLC procedure could be successfully used for the determination QCA and MQCA in animal muscles.

The concentration of chlorpyrifos (CPF) in aqueous samples was determined using a novel molecularly imprinted dispersive solid-phase extraction (MISPE) approach that was presented in this research. Using a non-covalent molecular imprinting technique, a biochar (BC)-functionalized molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) (BC-MIPs) was created. These MIPs were used in dispersive solid-phase extraction (DSPE) in conjunction with high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection (HPLC-PDA) to detect CPF in aqueous samples with high sensitivity.

To achieve specific adsorption-based sample preparation for the poorly soluble veterinary drug oxibendazole, this study employed 4-vinylpyridine as the functional monomer and conducted radical polymerization on the surface of functionalized silica nanoparticles to synthesize a surface molecularly imprinted polymer (OBZMIP). This OBZMIP exhibited good adsorption capacity for oxibendazole within 30 min, with its adsorption behavior conforming to the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir models, predicting a maximum adsorption capacity of 4.93Â mg/g.

A new fluorinated imprinted adsorbent (MIA) for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of liquid crystal monomer (LCM) pollutants was one-pot prepared within 3.5 h using 4-[difluoro(3,4,5-trifluorophenoxy)methyl]-3,5-difluoro-4'-ethyl-biphenyl (DFBP) as template and 1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyl acrylate/vinylanthracene as dual monomers. The structure, morphology, and magnetic properties of MIA fabricated were investigated by various characterization techniques.

Edible oil safety impacts food safety and consumer health. The typical pollutants-aflatoxin B (AFB) and benzo(α)pyrene (BaP), and kitchen waste oil-are significant hazards in edible oil consumption. Herein, we developed a dual-readout lateral flow immunoassay (tdLFIA) for the multi-quantitative detection of AFB, BaP and capsaicin (CAP).

Physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are emerging as a cutting-edge technology for enhancing information security by providing robust security authentication and non-reproducible cryptographic keys. Incorporating renewable and biocompatible materials into PUFs ensures safety for handling, compatibility with biological systems, and reduced environmental impact. However, existing PUF platforms struggle to balance high encoding capacity, diversified encryption signatures, and versatile functionalities with sustainability and biocompatibility.
