Lateral intraventricular tumors are uncommon. They grow linearly rather than exponentially and hence are slow-growing lesions without causing mass effects and hydrocephalus. We report a rare case of large bulky right intraventricular epidermoid tumor in a child. This tumor was associated with mass effect on the surrounding structures and hydrocephalus.

Objective: Ependymomas, rare neuroglial tumors originating from ependymal cells, can occur in the CNS and typically affect the brain's ventricles or spinal cord. Prognosis is influenced by tumor grade, location, resection extent, and preoperative Karnofsky Performance Status Scale (KPSS) scores. This study evaluates clinical features, treatment outcomes, and factors affecting prognosis in patients with intracranial ependymomas.

This case presents an unusual combination between an intraventricular meningioma and a choroid plexus papilloma. Intraventricular meningiomas are rare intraventricular tumors presenting with symptoms of hydrocephalus, headache, and neurological deficits. The rarity of choroid plexus papillomas is highlighted in medical diagnostics, with the majority of these findings being incidental within the setting of obstructive hydrocephalus.

: Post-hemicraniectomy patients often need extended intensive care treatment. While computed tomography (CT) is considered the gold standard for regular imaging, its frequent use could be linked to adverse clinical outcomes. This study aimed to assess bedside transcranial ultrasound (TUS) to capture intracranial anatomical structures and pathologies.

Background: The Mustard and Senning operations for dextro-transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA) establish a biventricular physiology with a subaortic right ventricle (sRV). While prolonged QRS has been associated with worse prognosis in these patients, current echocardiographic tools fall short in adequately assessing the (mal)performance and function decline of the sRV during follow-up. The present study is the first to characterize Myocardial Work (MW) indices of the sRV in D-TGA patients after Mustard/Senning repair.
