Context: Reports on long-term thyroid dysfunction following COVID-19 vaccination are limited. Understanding the risk of subacute thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism, and hypothyroidism in vaccinated individuals is crucial for post-vaccination monitoring.
Objective: This study evaluated the risk of thyroid dysfunction in COVID-19 vaccinated individuals compared to unvaccinated individuals using a large cohort.

Context: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is used as treatment for symptomatic thyroid nodules. Factors influencing the volume reduction ratio (VRR) at 12 months are not yet fully understood.
Objective: The primary objective was evaluating the VRR at 12 months after RFA.

Background: Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) is an autoimmune response to inflammation of the thyroid and orbital tissue. This research evaluated the efficacy of 99Tcm-DTPA orbital SPECT/CT combined with thyroid function test in radioactive iodine I-131 (RAI) treatment of TAO-hyperthyroidism.
Methods: We retrospectively studied clinical activity score (CAS), blood thyrotropine (TSH), free triiodothyronine (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4), thickness of extra-ocular muscle (EOM), and uptake rate (UR) of 99Tcm-DTPA orbital SPECT/CT of 43 patients after 6 months of treatment with 20 mCi RAI.

The nitrate pollution has become an increasingly serious environmental problem worldwide, and the toxic effects of elevated nitrate levels in the environment on aquatic animals remain to be elucidated. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the mechanisms of liver injury to tadpoles after exposure to nitrate from embryonic to metamorphic climax and to assess the recovery process of liver function after cessation of exposure. In the group with continuous nitrate exposure, the livers and thyroid of tadpoles showed remarkably histological lesions, of this with structural disorganization of the hepatocytes, cellular atrophy, and fibrosis, as well as significant reduction in the follicular and colloidal area of the thyroid.

The longest reported follow-up for thermal ablation of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is 5 years. We evaluated the long-term efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in patients with low-risk PTMC with clinical follow-up of more than 10 years. In this retrospective cohort study, we included patients with low-risk PTMC who had more than 10 years of follow-up after ultrasound (US)-guided RFA (performed between May 2008 and December 2013).
