Objective: To evaluate the effect of resveratrol on an experimentally induced endometriosis rat model.
Study Design: After endometriotic implants were surgically formed, rats were randomly divided into 2 groups as control group (saline treated, n = 6) and resveratrol group (10 mg/kg/d, n = 6). The inflammatory markers and histopathological changes were assessed at the end of the treatment period. Results Our results showed (1) significant reduction in the implant size (P < .0005); (2) significantly decreased levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the peritoneal fluid and plasma (P < .005); and monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1) in the peritoneal fluid (P < .05), (3) highly significant suppression of VEGF expression in the endometriotic tissue (P < .0005); and (4) considerable histological changes in the endometriotic foci following resveratrol treatment.
Conclusion: Resveratrol appears to be effective on the development of endometriosis through its antiangiogenic and anti-inflammatory properties. Future studies with different doses of resveratrol might provide more comprehensive results regarding the treatment of endometriosis.

Due to the high mortality rate of ovarian cancer, there is a need to find novel strategies to improve current treatment modalities. Natural compounds offer great potential in this field but also require the careful design of systems for their delivery to cancer cells. Our study explored the anticancer effects of novel resveratrol (RSV)- and curcumin (CUR)-loaded core-shell nanoparticles in human ovarian cancer cells.

Polyphenolic compounds are key elements in sectors such as pharmaceutics, cosmetics and food; thus, their physicochemical characterization is a vital task. In this work, the thermal behavior of seven polyphenols (-resveratrol, -polydatin, kaempferol, quercetin, myricetin, hesperidin, and (-)-epicatechin) was investigated with DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) and TGA (thermogravimetric analysis). Melting temperatures, enthalpies of fusion and decomposition temperatures were determined, and heat capacities were measured in the temperature range from 283.

This study aimed to examine the effects of supplementing a basal diet with resveratrol and black soldier fly () larvae meal on Manchurian Golden quail egg production and quality as well as consumer attitudes towards the quail eggs and their acceptability. Quail were allotted three treatments for a laying period of 3 months. The dietary treatment groups were those of a basal diet, a basal diet with 250 mg/kg resveratrol pliusACE, and a diet supplemented with 10% black soldier fly larvae meal (BSF).

Bacteria coordinate gene expression in a cell density-dependent manner in a communication process called quorum sensing (QS). The expression of virulence factors, biofilm formation and enzyme production are QS-regulated phenotypes that can interfere in human health. Due to this importance, there is great interest in inhibiting QS, comprising an anti-virulence strategy.

This study investigates the protective effects of resveratrol (RSV) against heat stress (HS)-induced testicular injury in rats. Climate change has exacerbated heat stress, particularly affecting male fertility by impairing testicular function and sexual behavior. A total of 32 rats were allocated into four experimental groups: control, RSV control, HS control, and RSV + HS.
