Prostate cancer is a leading cause of death in male populations across the globe. With the advent of gene expression arrays, many microarray studies have been conducted in prostate cancer, but the results have varied across different studies. To better understand the genetic and biologic mechanisms of prostate cancer, we conducted a meta-analysis of two studies on prostate cancer. Eight key genes were identified to be differentially expressed with progression. After gene co-expression analysis based on data from the GEO database, we obtained a co- expressed gene list which included 725 genes. Gene Ontology analysis revealed that these genes are involved in actin filament-based processes, locomotion and cell morphogenesis. Further analysis of the gene list should provide important clues for developing new prognostic markers and therapeutic targets.

Unlabelled: Problem of the causal relationship of disease that became the reason of death with the effect of ionizing radiation and due to harmful influence of the Chornobyl Catastrophe during performance of professional, military or official duties and / or living on radiation-contaminated areas, additional exposure not through their own fault but due to a radiation accident, caused the development of a special form of medical expertise as part of the of medical social protection system for suffered contingents in the remote postaccidental period.
Objective: To study and characterize the structure of the survivor categories (clean-up workers and victims) of the Chernobyl Catastrophe in the remote post-accident period (2013-2024) regarding the causal relationship of disease that became the reason of death with the effect of ionizing radiation and due to harmful influence of the Chornobyl Catastrophe based on the materials of expert cases of the Central Interdepartmental Expert Commission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (CIEC).
Material And Methods: The work was performed in the design of a retrospective study that based on analysis of the structure of all categories of Chornobyl NPP accident (ChNPP) survivors during 2008-2024 years and studying of 58,137 medical expert cases, including 19,524 postmortem cases, which were considered by CIEC during 2013-2023 to establish a causal relationship between the disease and influence of radiation exposure and other harmful factors and conditions during ChNPP accident.

Background: Cancer incidence in the Galapagos archipelago is unknown.
Aim: In 2021, a task force including Ecuadorian and Italian researchers was established to estimate cancer incidence among the 25 244 Galapagos residents.
Methods: Registration covered all malignancies, including malignant melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers; case recording was based on the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology.

Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) fused to IgG, IgA and IgM Fc domains was expressed to create IgG, IgA and IgM-like structures as anti-cancer vaccines in Nicotiana tabacum. High-mannose glycan structures were generated by adding a C-terminal endoplasmic reticulum (ER) retention motif (KDEL) to the Fc domain (FcK) to produce EpCAM-Fc and EpCAM-FcK proteins in transgenic plants via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. Cross-fertilization of EpCAM-Fc (FcK) transgenic plants with Joining chain (J-chain, J and JK) transgenic plants led to stable expression of large quaternary EpCAM-IgA Fc (EpCAM-A) and IgM-like (EpCAM-M) proteins.

Background: FOXF2 was reported to involve in a variety of biological behaviors that include the development of the central nervous system, tissue homeostasis, epithelia-mesenchymal interactions, regulation of embryonic development, and organogenesis.
Purpose: Understanding how FOXF2 influences the growth and development of cancer could provide valuable insights for researchers to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
Results: In this review, we investigate the underlying impact of FOXF2 on tumor cells, including the transformation of cellular phenotype, capacity for migration, invasion, and proliferation, colonization of circulating cells, and formation of metastatic nodules.

Metastasis to vital organs remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths, emphasizing an urgent need for actionable targets in advanced-stage cancer. The role of mitochondrial Rho GTPase 2 (MIRO2) in prostate cancer growth was recently reported; however, whether MIRO2 is important for additional steps in the metastatic cascade is unknown. Here, we show that knockdown of MIRO2 ubiquitously reduces tumor cell invasion in vitro and suppresses metastatic burden in prostate and breast cancer mouse models.
