We report a 37-year-old male patient who had nonbilious vomiting, no passage of flatus, and recurring abdominal pain. This patient had de novo intestinal myeloid sarcoma (MS), a rare and chameleonic presentation of acute leukemia of myeloid origin. The initial diagnostic evaluation suggested Koch's abdomen, and surgical excision of the bowel was performed with a clinical suspicion of Koch's or lymphoma.

We present a rare case involving a 25-year-old woman who had fragmentation of a copper intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) while still within its recommended lifespan. The patient's symptoms included lower abdominal pain, offensive vaginal discharge, and the passage of copper IUD fragments. The pelvic examination confirmed the presence of the copper IUD strings, and with her consent, the device was removed.

Infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV) and nervous necrosis virus (NNV) are two common and important causative agents in marine-cultured fish. However, high viral loads of both ISKNV and NNV in the same clinical case is unusual. In this study, a mass mortality event of Asian seabass Lates calcarifer juveniles occurred in Zhuhai, the main Asian seabass cultured area in mainland China.
