Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a highly aggressive diffuse malignant proliferative disease of the lymphatic system. Patients usually present with progressive lymph node enlargement and/or extra-lymph node lesions and require early treatment upon diagnosis. Most of the patients are in stage III or IV at the time of diagnosis and about 40% of the patients are difficult to cure.

Although the underlying mechanisms of this relationship are largely unknown, lower levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) -which promotes hippocampal neurogenesis in adulthood- and atrophy of the hippocampus are evident in patients with T2D and dementia, possibly linking the two conditions. The hippocampus is comprised of multiple subfields, each with their respective functions, cellular composition, and age-related sensitivity.

Bioimaging technology has been broadly used in biomedicine, and the growth of multimodal imaging technology based on synergistic advantages can overcome the shortcomings of traditional single-modal bioimaging methods and attain high specificity and sensitivity in the fields of bioimaging and biosensing. The analysis of low-abundance microRNAs (miRNAs) in complex organisms is of high importance for early-stage diagnosis and clinical treatment of tumors. In our current study, a biosensing nanoplatform based on Tf-AuNCs and MnO nanosheets was developed for multimodal imaging of tumor cells.

Our current understanding of how exercise promotes cognitive function largely stems from animal studies and is restricted to aerobic exercise training (AT). It is widely hypothesized that AT induces neurotrophic factor cascades (i.e.

Background: Subcortical ischemic vascular cognitive impairment (SIVCI) is the most common form of vascular cognitive impairment. White matter hyperintensities (WMH) secondary to SIVCI often result in impaired executive function. Cognitive reserve is a property of the brain that allows for preserved cognitive performance given brain injury or disease.
