In this paper, we investigate the effect of SrO substitution for CaO in 50P₂O₅-10Na₂-(40-x)CaO-xSrO glass system (x from 0 to 40) on the thermal and structural properties and also on the glass reactivity in simulated body fluid (SBF) in order to find new glass candidates for biomedical glass fibers. The addition of SrO at the expense of CaO seems to restrain the leaching of phosphate ions in the solution limiting the reduction of the solution pH. We observed the formation of an apatite layer at the surface of the glasses when in contact with SBF. SrO and MgO were found in the apatite layer of the strontium ion-containing glasses, the concentration of which increases with an increase of SrO content. We think that it is the presence of MgO and SrO in the layer which limits the leaching of phosphate in the solution and thus the glass dissolution in SBF.

Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) simulations reveal the existence of a spontaneous heat current (SHC) in the absence of a temperature gradient and demonstrate ultra-high thermal rectification in asymmetric trapezoid-shaped graphene. These unique properties have potential applications in power generation and thermal circuits, functioning as thermal diodes. Our findings also show the presence of negative and zero thermal conductivity in this system.

Recently, the scale and frequency of harmful algae blooms (HABs) have gradually increased, posing a serious threat to human health, marine ecosystems and economic development. For early warning, a method is required that can quickly detect and monitor microalgae. It is proposed to use aptamer targeted to Prorocentrum minimum, along with exonuclease III (Exo III), gold nanoparticles, target single-stranded DNA and hairpin structure probe to construct a new method, i.

The initial decomposition reactions of 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene (TNB), picric acid (PA), 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), 2,4,6-trinitroaniline (TNA) and 2,4,6-trinitrophenylmethylnitramine (Tetryl) were studied using ReaxFF-lg molecular dynamics simulations, and the substituent effect on the thermal decomposition behaviours of nitrobenzene compounds was evaluated through the reactant number, initial decomposition pathway, products and cluster analysis. The results show that the introduction of substituents could promote the decomposition of the reactants, increase the frequency of the nitro-nitrito isomerization reaction and intermolecular H or O atom transfer reaction, and reduce the frequency of the direct nitro dissociation reaction. Notably, these effects were most obvious in the case of TNT.

Purpose: To study the platelet adhesion and aggregation behaviour of late pregnancy women under arterial shear rate using microfluidic chip technology and evaluate the risk of thrombosis in late pregnancy.
Methods: We included pregnant women who were registered in the obstetrics department of our hospital between January 2021 and October 2022 and underwent regular prenatal examinations. Blood samples were collected at 32-35 weeks of gestation for routine blood tests and progesterone, oestradiol, and platelet aggregation function.

In this research, S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts are prepared through the hybridization of nitrogen-rich g-CN with TiO (coded as TCN-(): as the weight ratio of TiO:g-CN). The photocatalytic potential of TCN-() is evaluated against benzene (1-5 ppm) across varying humidity levels using a dynamic flow packed-bed photocatalytic reactor. Among the prepared composites, TCN-(10) exhibits the highest synergy between g-CN and TiO at "" ratio of 10%, showing superior best benzene degradation performance (e.
