Background: Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) can potentially be used in the triage of patients with elbow injuries. However, the diagnostic accuracy of POCUS performed by non-radiologists for the exclusion of elbow fractures is yet unknown. Objective: Endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (EVMT) is widely employed in patients with acute intracranial carotid artery occlusion (AIICAO). This study aimed to predict the outcomes of EVMT following AIICAO by utilizing anatomic classification of the circle of Willis and its relative position to the thrombus.
Methods: In this study, we retrospectively analyzed a cohort of 108 patients with AIICAO who underwent endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (EVMT) at Shaoxing People's Hospital.

Purpose: Proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) is a complication of retinal detachment which requires multiple vitreoretinal surgical interventions and frequent use of oil endotamponade. In this study, we conducted an in-depth analysis of complications associated with the use of heavy silicone oil in the management of inferior PVR.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of 20 eyes that underwent vitrectomy for inferior PVR with use of heavy silicone oil (Densiron 68) between March 2021 and October 2022 at Oxford Eye Hospital.
Aim: To assess the changes of intracranial pressure waveforms (ICPW) acquired noninvasively in a set of acute hydrocephalus patients prior to and posterior to interventions.
Material And Methods: Patients with clinical and radiological diagnoses of hydrocephalus were evaluated for alterations in ICPW by means of a system that detects cranial micro expansions just before and immediately after interventions. The system quantified the difference between ICPW peaks (P1 and P2), providing the P2/P1 ratio.
