Co-doping of lanthanum and phosphorus in CaFe₂As₂ induces superconductivity at 45 K. This superconducting transition temperature is higher than the 38 K transition in Ba₁-xKxFe₂As₂, which is the maximum found thus far among the 122 phases. Superconductivity with a substantial shielding volume fraction was observed at 0.12 ≤ x ≤ 0.18 and y = 0.06 in Ca₁-xLaxFe₂(As₁-yPy)₂. The superconducting phase of the present system seems to be not adjacent to an antiferromagnetic phase.

Despite the widespread use of currently available serum phosphate management options, elevated serum phosphate is common in patients with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis. Characteristics of currently available phosphate binders that lead to poor patient experiences such as large drug volume size of required daily medication (e.g.

Objective: To comprehensively investigate the efficacy and safety of lanthanum carbonate in conjugation with calcium carbonate combination in hemodialysis patients with hyperphosphatemia via a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
Method: We conducted a literature search in databases of PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science for RCTs investigating the effect of lanthanum carbonate in combination with calcium carbonate for treating hyperphosphatemia in hemodialysis patients. The search covered all studies from the inception of the database until October 2023.

Introduction: Hyperphosphatemia in advanced CKD often accompanies high PTH and FGF23 levels, impaired bone mineralization, ectopic calcifications, and increased cardiovascular risks. Novel treatments are now available to lower serum phosphorus effectively. However, safety, tolerability, and patient adherence must be evaluated to determine the best therapeutic option for hyperphosphatemia.

Three lanthanum morphology materials encompassing all lanthanum composites were synthesized by the direct precipitation method, and their phosphate adsorption order was determined as La(CO) > La(OH) > LaO. Further comparison of the adsorption performance between La(CO) and La(OH) revealed that the former exhibited a twofold higher rate of adsorption compared to the latter. The presence of SO, HCO, Mg, and HA in the water led to a decrease in the phosphate adsorption of La(CO) and La(OH), while Ca enhances the adsorption of phosphoric acid by both materials.
