Thrombotic or embolic arterial occlusive disease can lead to profound ischemia and, without emergent revascularization, is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Significant advances in the management of arterial occlusive disease range from newer thrombolytic agents to innovative catheter designs to enhance thrombolysis and thrombectomy. Most of these advances have been directed toward the management of acute limb ischemia; therefore, we review the management of limb ischemia with emphasis on endovascular interventions.

Background: Variability in long-term endovascular treatment outcomes for intracranial aneurysms has prompted questions regarding the effects of these treatments on aneurysm hemodynamics. Endovascular techniques disrupt aneurysmal blood flow and shear, but their influence on intra-aneurysmal pressure remains unclear. A better understanding of aneurysm pressure effects may aid in predicting outcomes and guiding treatment decisions.

Background And Purpose: Leptomeningeal collaterals have been associated with better outcomes in large-vessel stroke, but little is known about how the Circle of Willis (CoW) collaterals affect stroke outcomes. We aimed to determine the relationship between three anatomically distinct CoW subtypes and 90-day outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients after successful revascularization via endovascular thrombectomy (EVT).
Materials And Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of patients treated with successful EVT for large-vessel occlusion at a comprehensive stroke center between May 2016 and November 2023.
