Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate microleakage, voids, and gaps in ceramic adhesive precoated (APC) brackets using microcomputed tomography and investigate their correlation with bond strength.
Methods: A total of 52 human premolars were included in this study. The teeth were randomly divided into 4 groups of 13 teeth each.

Non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs) become common in individuals over the age of 40 and are progressive. Those that are wedge-shaped in cross-section likely develop hazardous stress concentrations along their sharp axial extent, which can be distributed to lower, safer levels over a larger area via adhesive restoration. Restoration is indicated once a lesion progresses to a minimum restorable axial depth of at least 1.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFResin cements are widely used to cement dental restorations; however, limited studies are available on the bond strength of these cements to computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) base metal alloys. This study compared the shear bond strength between a self-etching resin cement (Panavia F 2.0) and a millable cobalt-chromium alloy (Ceramill Sintron) following various surface treatments.

Blocks of ZLS were sectioned to obtain a total of 90 specimens (1.5 mm thick), which were assigned to 9 different surface treatment protocols (n = 10).

Objective: This study aimed to compare the shear bond strength (SBS) of enamel-bonded orthodontic brackets with the conventional acid etching (CAE) system and the self-etching primer (SEP) in vitro and to compare the clinical performance of both systems when used in the treatment of malocclusion patients.
Materials And Methods: In the first part of the study, 40 extracted human premolars were randomly divided into two groups containing 20 teeth. The first group (the conventional enamel etching group) employed 37% phosphoric acid before bonding the metallic brackets (0.
