The double photoionization of Mg has been studied experimentally and theoretically in a kinematic where the two photoelectrons equally share the excess energy. The observation of a symmetrized gerade amplitude, which strongly deviates from the Gaussian ansatz, is explained by a two-electron interference predicted theoretically, but never before observed experimentally. Similar to the Cooper minima in the single photoionization cross section, the effect finds its origin in the radial extent and oscillation of the target wave function.

This study demonstrates the synthesis of 1D surface vertically aligned nanorods of ZnO on the fluorine-doped tin oxide-coated glass substrate (ZnO-VANRs/FTOs) synthesized via a chemical route for the targeted electrochemical sensing of aniline. The ZnO-VANRs/FTOs were 1.57 ± 0.

In electro-Fenton (EF), the development of a catalytic material with wide pH application range and high interference resistance is more suitable for practical wastewater treatment. In this study, the nanoneedle-shaped CoP/NiP heterostructure loaded onto a nickel foam substrate (CoP/NiP@NF) was successfully fabricated, which was used as a cathode material for heterogeneous electro-Fenton (Hetero-EF) to degrade sulfamerazine (SMR) at circumneutral pH. The SMR degradation efficiency within 90 min went to 100% and 87% at initial pH of 6.

Sunset Yellow FCF (SY FCF) is one of the widely used synthetic azo dyes in the food industry whose content has to be controlled for safety reasons. Electrochemical sensors are a promising tool for this type of task. A voltammetric sensor based on a combination of tin and cerium dioxide nanoparticles (SnO-CeO NPs) with surfactants has been developed for SY FCF determination.

The stepwise reduction of copper(II) 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octafluoro-2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakisperfluoro(isopropyl) phthalocyanine (CuFPc) in -dichlorobenzene (CHCl) by potassium graphite in the presence of cryptand(K), abbreviated L, results in the formation of (L)[Cu(FPc)]·2CHCl (), (L)[Cu(FPc)]·CHCl (), and (L)[Cu(FPc)] () complexes. Single-crystal X-ray structures revealed their composition and a monotonic increase with increased phthalocyanine (Pc) negative charges of the magnitude of alternative shortening and elongation of the prior equivalent N-C bonds. The complexes are separated by bulky CF substituents, large cryptand counterions, and solvent molecules.

A single stimulus leading to multiple responses is an essential function of many biological networks, which enable complex life activities. However, it is challenging to duplicate a similar chemical reaction network (CRN) using non-living chemicals, aiming at the disclosure of the origin of life. Herein, we report a nanozyme-based CRN with feedback and feedforward functions for the first time.
