Highly effective and compact cultivators must pullapart plants during vegetation in order to save light energy and area under crops. Cultivators ensuring a helical method for pulling plants apart are already available. The present paper suggests the criteria of the efficiency of using the area under crops of the cultivator and deformation of the leaf crown of plants (sigma- and delta-spectra). With respect to these values the main task of calculating the helix has been formulated. Having Chinese cabbage as an illustration, an equation of the helix has been derived. With the aid of the equation an optimal helix can be marked along the circle in polar coordinates.

Tobacco curly shoot virus (TbCSV), a begomovirus, causes significant economic losses in tobacco and tomato crops across East, Southeast, and South Asia. Despite its agricultural importance, the evolutionary dynamics and emergence process of TbCSV remain poorly understood. This study analyzed the phylodynamics of TbCSV by examining its nucleotide sequences of the coat protein (CP) gene collected between 2000 and 2022.

The contradiction between increased irrigation demand and water scarcity in arid regions has become more acute for crops as a result of global climate change. This highlights the urgent need to improve crop water use efficiency. In this study, four irrigation volumes were established for drip-irrigated maize under plastic mulch: 2145 m ha (W1), 2685 m ha (W2), 3360 m ha (W3), and 4200 m ha (W4).

Background/objective: The relationship between food consumption and environmental sustainability is becoming increasingly evident. The aim of this study was to estimate the evolution of the environmental impact of food consumption in the Spanish population, assessed in terms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Methods: Data collected from the Household Budget Survey were included, from approximately 24,000 households for the period of 2006-2023.

Black root rot is a dangerous disease affecting many crops. It is caused by pathogens formerly known as and then reclassified as two cryptic species, and . The aim of this study was to perform species identification, morphological characterization, and pathogenicity tests for fungal isolates obtained from tobacco roots with black root rot symptoms in Poland.

Pathogenic fungi represent a diverse group of eukaryotic microorganisms that significantly impact human health and agriculture. In recent years, the role of epigenetic modifications, particularly histone modifications, in fungal pathobiology has emerged as a prominent area of interest. Among these modifications, methylation of histone H3 at lysine-4 (H3K4) has garnered considerable attention for its implications in regulating gene expression associated with diverse cellular processes.
