In 1986, 149 patients were provided with titanium crowns. The method used for fabrication of the titanium copings involved two principles: machine duplication of models and electric discharge machining. For the veneering of the copings, Isosit was used for the first 90% of the crowns in the series, and the Dentacolor-Silicoater technique for the last 10%. Of 205 individual crowns cemented in 1986, 167 could be examined after 2 years. The crowns were rated by four independent examiners using the CDA quality evaluation system. Bleeding Index and Margin Index were also used. The Margin Integrity score was recorded as satisfactory for all crowns examined over the period studied. A vast majority of the margins were rated as excellent. Isosit (n = 145) disclosed shortcomings including fractures and substantial deteriorations of Surface and Color and of Anatomic Form. With Dentacolor as veneering material (n = 18) the results with the factors Surface and Color and Anatomic Form were still rated satisfactory after 2 years, and no fractures of the veneering material were registered. Bleeding Index and Margin Index showed comparatively small changes after 2 years.

Background: Anatomically formed healing abutments were suggested in literature to address many of the issues associated with immediate posterior implant insertion such as large extraction sockets that are extremely hard to seal without reflecting the mucoperiosteal flap, extraction sockets anatomy that are not suitable for regular healing abutment placement, and potentially high occlusal stresses when planning a temporary implant supported prothesis to improve the conditioning of supra implant tissue architecture and the emergence profile of the implant supported restorations.
Purpose: To clinically evaluate the peri-implant soft tissue profile of single posterior implant retained restorations and to assess patient related outcomes of the implant restorations that were conditioned immediately by CAD-CAM socket sealing abutments (SSA) versus those conditioned by Titanium (Ti) standard healing abutments (SHA).
Methods: Twenty participants received twenty-two single maxillary immediate implants after flapless minimally invasive tooth extraction and 3D guided implant placement in the posterior area (premolar and molar) and allocated randomly into two groups (n = 11), the intervention group: patients received PEEK SSA and the control group: the patients received Ti SHA.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the marginal adaptation of a cold ceramic (CC) sealer with the single-cone obturation technique with that of an AH-26 sealer with the lateral compaction technique in single-canal teeth.
Materials And Methods: In this in vitro experimental study, the root canals of 24 extracted single-rooted single-canal teeth were instrumented to F3 files by the crown-down technique and randomly assigned to 2 groups (n = 12). The root canals were obturated with a CC sealer and single-cone obturation technique with 4% gutta-percha in group 1 and with an AH-26 sealer and lateral compaction technique with 2% gutta-percha in group 2.

Although implants have undergone a remarkable development over the past decades, modern implants still show complications that make the improvement of materials necessary. The presented study investigates the load-bearing capacity of an experimental dental implant made of a niobium alloy (Nb1Zr) compared to identical implants made of Ti6Al4V using chewing simulation for artificial aging. Eight implants each with an experimental design were manufactured from Nb1Zr and Ti6Al4V.
