A rare presentation of neurofibromatosis mimicking leprosy.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is a genetic disorder commonly characterized by café-au-lait macules, neurofibromas and axillary freckling. We present the case of a 20-year-old female who had bilateral neck swellings, and these swellings were misdiagnosed as cervical lymphadenopathy, and the patient was started on anti-tubercular therapy (ATT), but the swellings didn't show any improvement despite 6 months of ATT. Further examination revealed thickening of the greater auricular, supratrochlear and supraorbital nerves, accompanied by an unusual freckling pattern along the thickened nerves, which were suggestive of neurofibromatosis.

Amyand hernias are unusual inguinal hernias that contain the vermiform appendix. Rarely, an Amyand hernia can be complicated by acute appendicitis and present a diagnostic dilemma. Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) surgeries are rapidly increasing due to an aging population, leading to an increase in degenerative hip osteoarthritis. However, 1% of these patients go through prosthetic joint infection (PJI), which gives rise to implant failure with prolonged periods of patient incapacitation and higher mortality risk.
Case Report: In this article, we report an unusual case of a 62-year-old male who developed a PJI 7 months after a THA.

Deep or aggressive angiomyxoma is an uncommon neoplasm of the pelvis. Although deep angiomyxoma is a benign tumor, its tendency to infiltrate soft tissues and reach a large size (typically > 10 cm) indicates aggressive biological behavior. It is usually present in female patients, but there have been recent reports of male-aggressive angiomyxoma.
