Accurate and efficient traffic prediction directly determines the construction scale and investment budget of communication networks, which is crucial for network planning. Despite the rise of popular machine learning models, traditional statistical models maintain significant advantages in interpretability, controllability and simplicity, retaining an essential role in contemporary communication network traffic prediction. This paper analyzes and predicts the inter-provincial egress traffic of 31 provinces in a large-scale operational IP backbone network using traditional regression analysis, the time series Prophet model, and a novel combination of these two prediction models.

Research elucidating the role of the microbiome in carcinogenesis has grown exponentially over the past decade. Initially isolated to associative studies on colon cancer development, the field has expanded to encompass nearly every solid and liquid malignancy that may afflict the human body. Investigations are rapidly progressing from association to causation and one particular area of causal effect relates to microbial metabolites and how they influence cancer development, progression, and treatment response.

Mushrooms, being a source of therapeutically active compounds, are of great interest to researchers due to their historical usage in traditional therapies and the significant role that natural products have played in the development of contemporary medications. Lentinus polychrous is one underutilized mushroom species collected from the laterites of West Bengal, India. Our study aims toward its taxonomic validation, deciphering the secondary metabolic fingerprint, and testing its efficiency in countering many clinical issues, including oxidative stress, growing microbial drug resistance, and cancer.
