: The aim is to bring attention to the existence of a rare type of trauma of the hand, high-pressure injection injury, that appears to be minor with negligible signs and symptoms within the first hours after the accident, but in reality, produces significant tissue destruction with severe consequences. Recognizing this type of trauma by medical personnel, understanding the mechanisms involved, and knowing the etiological and prognostic factors can lead to early treatment initiation and avoid severe mutilating sequelae. : A retrospective study on 16 patients diagnosed with high-pressure injection injuries, including water, air, paint, paint mixed paint with thinner, petroleum jelly, and lime (washable paint containing calcium oxide).

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin malignancy and constitutes a burden for patients and society. Mohs micrographic surgery is a recommended treatment for high-risk basal cell carcinoma, but long-term outcomes of Mohs micrographic surgery in Denmark are unknown. This study aimed to estimate the 5-year recurrence rate of basal cell carcinoma following Mohs micrographic surgery, and to investigate patient and procedure characteristics since the introduction of the procedure in Denmark.

Background: Malignant tumors release growth factors, promoting lymphangiogenesis in primary tumors and draining sentinel lymph nodes, ultimately facilitating lymph node metastasis. As a malignant lymphatic tumor entity, lymphangiosarcomas are characterized by low survival rates and limited treatment options. The transcription factor SOX18 plays a crucial role in both lymphatic endothelial cell differentiation and cancer-induced lymphangiogenesis.
