A 21-month-old boy developed urticaria multiforme during the course of a presumed pneumonia, which was treated with imacillin. At admission to hospital he was initially considered to have erythema multiforme, but the correct diagnosis was soon established as urticaria multiforme. He had a good response to antihistamines. The diagnostic differences between urticaria multiforme and erythema multiforme are presented in this case report.

COVID-19 vaccines play a crucial role in preventing complications and alleviating the impact of SARS-CoV-2. Nevertheless, these vaccines have been associated with side effects like pain, fatigue, fever, and, in rare instances, the development of sarcoidosis. This review seeks to provide an overview of research on sarcoidosis occurring after COVID-19 vaccination and attempt to identify potential factors that may contribute to this uncommon yet concerning complication.

Erythema multiforme (EM) is an immune-mediated condition that manifests as targetoid skin lesions and can be triggered by various factors, including infections and vaccinations. This case report describes a 41-day-old full-term male infant who developed widespread annular, bullseye-shaped erythematous skin lesions one week after receiving the Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination. The infant, exclusively breastfed and without a significant past medical history, presented with these lesions but no associated systemic symptoms.
