The aim of this paper was the evaluation of the recurrence and residual lesions of cervical intraepithelial neoplaisa (CIN) incidence after LEEP (loop electro excisional procedure) and cold knife conisation. The clinical material was 210 women aged 22-65 years of life referred to the Department of Gynecology and Oncology Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland, the period in 2000- 2005 years, with initial cytological pap diagnosis-HSIL. (high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion-HSIL) according to The Bethesda System. The study group was 115 women with colposcopically visible lesions, which was qualified to the LEEP procedure. The controls were 95 women, preoperatively diagnosed based on colposcopically directed biopsy of the ectocervix and cervical canal curettage. In all cases the recurrence of cervical dysplasia and residual disease of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia incidence were analyzed. The follow-up period was 5 years with Pap smear and colposcopy every 3 months, for the first 2 years and every 6 months in subsequent 3 years. In case of recurrence which was diagnosed within first 6 months the residual disease was assumed rather than recurrence one. Data were statistically analyzed. We conclude that the therapeutical effect depends on CIN (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia) localization within cervix, because in case of cervical canal localization the recurrence and residual disease percentage is significantly higher in comparision to the ectocervix localization. This is why the colposcopic precise localization of the lesion within cervix is of the great importance. The free margins of the removed tissue speciemen are also the important prognostic factor. Most of the recurrence are diagnosed within the first year after initial procedure and does not depend on the margins involvement.

We report the case of an 18-month-old boy who developed a phototoxic skin reaction to terbinafine on his scalp, ears, and face in the form of disseminated erythematous plaques, which resembled subacute lupus erythematosus (SCLE) in their clinical presentation. Skin changes appeared a short time after the boy was exposed to sunlight during the period of time when he was treated with oral terbinafine due to Microsporum canis fungal scalp infection. Tinea capitis is a common dermatophyte infection primarily affecting prepubertal children (1).

Background: Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) is a haematological malignancy which may occur in patients with textured breast implant history. While typically diagnosed at an early stage with good prognosis, it may present with local residual disease due to incomplete surgical excision.
Case Presentation: We describe the case of a 42 year-old woman with a history of bilateral breast augmentation for cosmetic purposes 21 years prior, who developed recurring seroma of the left side.

Background: The role of repeat transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) for the management of nonmuscle invasive bladder carcinoma is debated, especially when initial resections include detrusor muscle. This study compares immediate second resection (additional deep biopsies in the same session) with standard restage TURBT performed 2-6 weeks post-initial TURBT to determine adequacy in detrusor muscle sampling and compare the disease rate at restage TURBT in both groups.
Material And Methods: A randomized trial was conducted at a tertiary care hospital, including patients aged ≥18 years undergoing TURBT with complete primary tumor resection.

Post-surgical tumor recurrence poses a major challenge in cancer treatment due to residual tumor cells and surgery-induced immunosuppression. Here, we developed hybrid nanoparticles, termed T-DCNPs, designed to promote antigen-specific activation of cytotoxic CD8+ T cells while concurrently inhibiting immunosuppressive pathways within the tumor microenvironment. T-DCNPs were formulated by co-extruding lipid nanoparticles containing a transforming growth factor β inhibitor with dendritic cells that were pre-treated with autologous neoantigens derived from surgically excised tumors.

Introduction: Bladder stones (BS) in children are a rare condition and represent 1-5 % of all urinary tract stones. With advances in miniaturized endoscopes and intracorporeal lithotripters, percutaneous cystolithotomy has been demonstrated to be an effective, safe and quick technique, despite the longer operative time. This limitation may be overcome by a semi-closed-circuit vacuum-assisted technology (vamPCL), characterized by a continuous inflow and a suction-controlled outflow (ClearPetra®).
