Objective: to analyze the spatial-temporal pattern of childbirths and flow of postpartum women assisted at a regional reference maternity hospital.
Methods: ecological study of 4,081 childbirths, between September 2018 and December 2021, at a public maternity hospital in the Baixo Tocantins region, Pará, Brazil. With data collected from five sources, a geographic database was constructed, and spatial analysis was used with Kernel density interpolator.

This study presents the direct measurement of proton transport along filamentous , or cable bacteria. Cable bacteria are filamentous multicellular microorganisms that have garnered much interest due to their ability to serve as electrical conduits, transferring electrons over several millimeters. Our results indicate that cable bacteria can also function as protonic conduits because they contain proton wires that transport protons at distances >100 µm.

Background: Access to liver transplantation (LT) is affected by geographic disparities. Higher waitlist mortality is observed in patients residing farther from LT centres, but the impact of distance on post-LT outcomes is unclear.

Purpose: Waste mismanagement is a growing concern in developing countries where unsustainable practices such as open dumping and open burning are rampant. This study examined the risk perceptions of the residents living in proximity to the Brahmapuram dump yard, situated in Ernakulam district of Kerala State, India- A site marked by persistent local protests, public outrage, and legal disputes arising from issues related to waste mismanagement. The study focused on the geospatial and sociodemographic factors that might influence these perceptions.
